How we rank the best AI girlfriend apps
Most “best AI girlfriend” listicles publish stars with no math. We publish weights. The homepage ranking table sorts a weighted overall (0–10). You can also filter by Best-for chips and sort any single criterion — including chat realism for “best AI girlfriend chat” intent. Affiliate links never change these weights.

How we test
For each app we create or refresh an account, run multi-turn romantic / companion chats, note memory continuity, try free-tier limits, and check how image or voice features are metered. Every review includes at least one concrete testing note — not a restated feature list.
Pricing scores weigh headline subscriptions plus typical credit/token overruns. Apps that hide price until signup are called out in notes.
Scores are editorial judgements. They are not lab instruments or purchased star packs. Last-updated dates appear on every review and on the ranking table.
Best-for filters (same dataset)
“Best free”, “Best NSFW”, “Best customization”, “Best voice”, and “Best for beginners” filter the same ranked dataset. They do not invent a second ranking.
Refresh cadence
We re-check pricing and features when products change, and we publish a short ranking changelog on the homepage. Moved+/− is vs our prior editorial pass — not another site’s affiliate order. Example: on 2026-09-25 Candy.ai moved to #1 overall (9.3) and Nectar AI to #2 (9.2) after a hands-on re-test; sponsored Visit links did not change weights.
