# AI Girlfriend Privacy Checklist (2026)

Use this before a long chat arc. Treat every consumer companion app as a vendor log until a policy you actually read says otherwise. Product scores (e.g. Candy.ai 9.3 / Nectar AI 9.2 on our weighted table) are not anonymity guarantees.

## Day-one controls

- [ ] Unique password (not reused from banking or email)
- [ ] Dedicated email alias for the account when possible
- [ ] 2FA enabled on the mailbox that owns the account
- [ ] Locate: password change, session logout, chat delete, account delete, data export
- [ ] Send a harmless test message, delete it, confirm it disappears from the UI
- [ ] Only then paste persona details you actually care about

## What never to share

- [ ] Search for: end-to-end, at rest, training, delete
- [ ] Screenshot the delete/export path
- [ ] Flip training opt-out if it exists, before a long arc
- [ ] Assume HTTPS-in-transit ≠ end-to-end encryption unless the page says E2E plainly

## Money and exit

- [ ] Monthly plan until you trust the vendor (skip annual on week one)
- [ ] Regional NSFW / storefront rules confirmed for your country
- [ ] Cancel through the same channel you subscribed (web vs app store)
- [ ] Delete chats, then delete the account; keep cancellation confirmation
